The
monument “Educators” by Sculptor Tuck Langland was commissioned
by The Art in Public Places Commission for the City of Mishawaka,
IN. The 9' tall sculpture consists of two wedge-like forms that evolve
into people at the top (one male and one female), arms reaching outward
to form an arch. This arch represents the "portal for life"
of the student-teacher relationship. As Langland states, "Teachers
reach out to students and students reach back." |
