SONG OF
THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
Mantling over my Salmon King
I sing this song to the unknown intruder
Dam my streams, my river ways,
where once the Salmon lay
The great Pacific Northwest has many empty waters now
Still sings loud the ancient cry of Salmon
as the echoes reach the ocean shore
Carried forth around the Earth to sing my song,
a mournful dirge.
