Dennis
Farris has been creating art his whole life. After graduating from
Central Missouri State with a degree in Fine Arts in 1987, Dennis
received much success and visibility as a freelance commercial illustrator
and also as a painter. It wasn’t until 1995 that he first
tried his hand at sculpting. “I was wandering through a little
gallery and I found myself drawn more and more to the beautiful
and powerful figurative bronzes,” says Dennis. “I knew
I had to create such work myself and express myself in this medium.
I found a new path that day. I know I will be sculpting for the
rest of my life.”

Dennis
has received tremendous praise and admiration for his bold and emotional
work. “The human form is the most expressive subject I know,”
says Dennis. “I try to create a piece that captures that expression
and stirs an emotion in me. If I’ve done it well, it will
stir an emotion in others.”
