The "Slicker Shy" monument previously resided in the main lobby of the Sheraton Dallas Hotel (formerly the Adam's Mark Hotel). After a $90 million renovation, however, the hotel owners decided to remove the sculpture and find it a new home. Thus, the sculpture is now available by consignment through Sculptureworks.

The sculpture, by Herb Mignery, depicts a cowboy being thrown from a rearing horse. It illustrates experiences from Mignery's childhood on a ranch when horses would spook at the sound of a rider’s wind-whipped rain slicker. The sculpture is nearly 10 feet across at the base and weighs over 5,500 pounds.

"Slicker Shy" was installed on exhibit at the Lewisville, TX, City Hall in August of 2010.
