Sculpture
by Tuck Langland Unveiled at the
Bensenville Community Public Library
May,
2010
The
Bensenville, IL, Public Library recently commissioned Sculptor Tuck
Langland to create a one of a kind sculpture to commemorate the library's
50th anniversary celebration. Tuck created sculptural elements depicting
scenes from Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book" which he
placed both inside and outside of the library. In addition, young
library patrons attended several sculpture workshops at the library,
conducted by Tuck Langland and Sculptureworks artists Karryl and Paul
Oestreicher, in order to create unique figures which were cast in
bronze and incorporated as part of the library's sculpture.
The new sculpture and the anniversary celebration were enjoyed by
all.
