The Bensenville, IL, Public Library recently commissioned Sculptor Tuck Langland to create a one of a kind sculpture to commemorate the library's 50th anniversary celebration. Tuck created sculptural elements depicting scenes from Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book" which he placed both inside and outside of the library. In addition, young library patrons attended several sculpture workshops at the library, conducted by Tuck Langland and Sculptureworks artists Karryl and Paul Oestreicher, in order to create unique figures which were cast in bronze and incorporated as part of the library's sculpture.

The sculpture "Kipling's Jungle Book" was unveiled at the Bensenville, IL, Public Library in May of 2010. Click here to view full news story with photographs.
