"The Alphabet Chair" is a unique visual and kinesthetic experience for viewers of all ages. Each letter on the chair is decorated with a textured object beginning with that particular letter. The chair puzzles the viewer to identify each letter's mystery. The 4' high bronze chair can seat two adults or three children.

"The more I watch people interact with 'The Alphabet Chair', the more satisfied I am with it. From a distance, its shape and shadows are intriguing. As you get closer, you realize there's more going on, that there are textures to explore. Then, before you know it, you're absorbed in the puzzle of trying to identify the textures. People really linger over the chair. I find that very gratifying." - Sarah Peters

"The Alphabet Chair" was donated by the late Mrs. Ann Hooks for permanent placement at the Fort Worth, TX, Museum of Science and History in May of 2006. Click here to view full news story with photographs of the presentation to the museum.

In August of 2010, "The Alphabet Chair" was donated to the Lewisville, TX, Public Library through a project coordinated by the Friends of the Lewisville Library. Click here to view full news story with photographs of the unveiling.
